💡 Important Usage Advice: Protecting your E-Bike Bewo Motor

To ensure the life and reliability of your e-bike motor, it is crucial to always pull away and ride in the right gear:

Always use a low gear when pulling away and accelerating.

  • Why? If you try to pull away from a standstill in a gear that is too high (a heavy gear), an extremely high mechanical torque (force) is applied directly to the internal components of the motor.

  • Consequence: This high mechanical load can damage the internal drive (such as gears, bearings or the axle) or cause defects through structural overloading.

  • Advice: Shift down to a light gear (such as gear 1 or 2) before you stop. This minimises the force on the internal parts and ensures a smooth, durable start.

Damage to the internal drive caused by structural mechanical overloading (pulling away in a gear that is too high) is not covered by the standard warranty.
