3. The Sitgo is a medical device
The Sitgo is a medical device. European rules (MDR) require us to record which Sitgo (serial number) was delivered to which dealer or customer. This lets us reach you if there is an issue with your Sitgo, for example a safety notice or recall. We also record the maintenance and repairs carried out on your Sitgo.
We do not ask for or store any medical data, such as your condition or disability.
4. Who receives your data?
We only share your data when needed for the purpose you gave it for, or when the law requires it. Companies that process data for us are bound by agreements on security and confidentiality.
- Shipping: PostNL (via MyParcel) and courier Besseling receive your name, address and, for track & trace, your e-mail address or phone number.
- Payments: Mollie (online payments) and our bank ING.
- Accounting: Exact Online and our accountant.
- E-mail and telephone: Google (business e-mail), KPN (telephone) and WhatsApp (Meta) if you contact us via WhatsApp.
- Hosting: the company that runs our website and webshop.
- Your dealer: if you buy a Sitgo through a dealer, we exchange with that dealer the data needed for delivery, warranty and service.
Some of these companies (Google and Meta) may process data outside the European Union. They do so under arrangements approved by the European Commission.
5. Website and cookies
We use no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies. That is why you see no cookie banner on our site.
- Necessary cookies: the webshop remembers your cart, your language and whether you are logged in. Without these cookies the webshop does not work.
- Visitor numbers: we count how many people visit the website, without cookies. To do so we turn your IP address and browser into a code that changes every day. We do not store your IP address itself, so we cannot see who you are.
- No external services: fonts and images are stored on our own server. A normal visit sends nothing to Google, Facebook or other companies.
- Map and videos: the map (Google Maps) and videos (YouTube) are only loaded when you click on them. Only then do Google or YouTube receive your IP address and may set cookies.
6. How long do we keep your data?
- Orders and invoices: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
- Sitgo deliveries, maintenance and repairs: at least 10 years after delivery, as required by the MDR.
- Warranty and repairs of other products: for the warranty period, and 2 years after that.
- Battery passport: for as long as the battery may be in use.
- Your account: for as long as you use it. You can always ask us to delete it.
- Call data (number, time and duration): 12 months.
- Visitor statistics: just over a year, without being traceable to you.
7. Security
We protect your data well. The website uses a secure connection (https), passwords are stored encrypted, and only staff who need it for their work can access your data.
8. Your rights
You may always ask us:
- which data we hold about you (access);
- to correct inaccurate data;
- to delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- to use less of your data or stop using it (objection);
- to receive your data in a file so you can pass it on to someone else;

Send your request to info@vanbeijck.nl. We will respond within one month. To make sure the request really comes from you, we may ask you to confirm who you are.
